Personal Message from Leota:As a singer and voice teacher it is of the utmost importance to me to:
1. Build my students vocally so their voice will last a lifetime and they will never have to endure any vocal impairment or injury.
2. Build my students physically with the proper use of the diaphragm through breathing exercises and vocal techniques.
3. Build my students mentally through encouragement and support. I believe anyone can sing. I really do. It's about proper instruction, technique, and the will to achieve at singing.
Singingly,
Leota Penney
Leota has been singing since the age of 7 and songwriting
since the age of 9. She sings every style of music. At the age of 17, she was
first place finalist (Opera) in the SCVA Solo Competion and was also a
semi-finalist (Opera) in the Music Center Spotlight Awards (Dorothy Chandler).
While earning her Bachelor of Music in Opera Performance from California
State University Northridge, Leota performed the lead role of Yum Yum in The
Mikado and Sister Genovieffa in Suor Angelica and was a member of Northridge Singers,
